The same injury occurred in 2007 ending her season after only two games. Rapinoe was able to recover from the injury, and was able to help the Pilots get a record of 20-2 in 2008.

Although she was born in Portland she spent the first five or six year of her adulthood in the tiny town called Boring in which her family had the beehive, though her mother was allergic to bees. She lived in a farm environment with animals as well as farms. Their parents divorced and moved to Montana after which they moved to Seattle in which her mother had to change jobs frequently. They didn't run the bee farm long. Maria was a student at Apple Valley High School in Minnesota and was a part of and a member of the school's award-winning team for forensics and National Forensic League. In high school, she was very popular and even elected the queen of Homecoming. Career and early days attended Juilliard School. Juilliard School and realized her aspirations of appearing in a Broadway production. Amy Sedaris is a celebrated actress, and she was able to spot Maria while she was performing in a theatre production. Amy has stated that she will write a character for her specifically, called Strangers with Candy. The show premiered in 1999. It was Maria's first major professional performance as a innocent teenager who made friends with the ex-con and ex-junkie.
